The 2017 Maryland JUCO men's lacrosse champion is Howard Community College, after finishing undefeated in the conference at 5-0 (11-2 overall).
The Dragons are led by Ian Decker and Chris Rinehart on the offensive end. They are one and two in the conference with 46 and 45 goals, respectively. Decker has 81 points (second in Maryland JUCO) and Rinehart has 68 (tied for third in Maryland JUCO) on the season. Decker is third in the conference with 35 assists.
In goal, the Dragons have Mark Bowser. Bowser leads the conference in goals against average at 6.81, has 90 saves, a 57.7% save percentage and 66 goals against, all top five in the conference.
Finishing second in the conference is Anne Arundel Community College at 3-2 (10-4 overall).
The Riverhawks are led by Dylan Mansur. Mansur leads the conference with 100 points – 44 goals, 56 assists – with his closest competitor trailing by 19.
In addition to Mansur, the Riverhawks have two others with 30+ goals scored, as Michael Bigelow has tallied 37 and Jeremy Ross 38.
Riverhawks' goalie William Harrison leads the conference in saves with 180. Harrison is in the top five in save percentage (57.1%) and goals against average (10.3) as well.
CCBC Essex ended conference play with the third best record at 3-2 (9-5 overall). The Knights offense is spread around pretty evenly amongst their players.
Dylan McCleaft leads the team in goals scored with 24. Nine Knights have double digit goals scored this season. Dustin Stone leads the team in points (34) and assists (18).
Freshmen Shane Hanlon and Colin Stasch have made major contributions to the Knights offense, posting 19 goals and 9 assists and 17 goals and 10 assists, respectively.
In goal, the Knights have one of the conference's top net minders in Brody Bartell. Bartell is second in the conference in saves (152) and save percentage (61.8%), is third in goals against average (9.32) and fifth in goals against (94).
Fourth in the conference is Harford Community College at 2-3 (10-5 overall).
The offensive trio of John Perry, Nick Esser and Kyle Barkley led the Fighting Owls. Perry is sixth in the conference with 34 goals while Barkley and Perry are tied for ninth with 28. Esser is tied for third in the conference with 68 points, 40 coming from assists. Perry is fourth in the conference in points with 50.
The Fighting Owls goalie Jacob Laubner is first in the conference in save percentage (62.1%), second in the conference in goals against average (8.94), as well as third in goals against (74) and fourth in saves (121).
Rounding out the conference is Frederick Community College at 2-3 (8-5 overall) and College of Southern Maryland at 0-3 (5-8 overall).
