Barvenia Wooten Collier, Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Prince George’s Community College, had her college jersey retired from Virginia Union University.

 

During a dinner honoring the 1983 Women’s National Basketball Championship Team on February 10, 2010, Collier’s #31 jersey was retired. There was also a presentation during halftime of the VUU women’s basketball game on February 11, 2010 to officially hang the jersey. Collier graduated cum laude from VUU in 1983 with an accounting degree.
